La bacteria se desarroll\u00f3 hasta convertirse en una mitocondria. Gracias a ella, este antepasado eucariota dispon\u00eda de suficiente energ\u00eda para desarrollarse hasta convertirse en las c\u00e9lulas m\u00e1s complejas que conocemos hoy en d\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p class=\"prose-text\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"Links article\">Una caracter\u00edstica definitoria de estos eucariotas complejos es la endocitosis, es decir, la capacidad de devorar otras c\u00e9lulas. Sin embargo, hasta esta nueva investigaci\u00f3n se consideraba energ\u00e9ticamente imposible que una c\u00e9lula procariota fuera capaz de realizar endocitosis, ya que la fuente de energ\u00eda de la mitocondria se consideraba indispensable para ello, detalla\u00a0<i>Europa Press<\/i>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"inline-element\">\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"prose-text\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"Links article\">Desde hace m\u00e1s de 10 a\u00f1os, Christian Jogler y su equipo han estado buscando un enfoque diferente para explicar la eucariog\u00e9nesis. El investigador se centra en el grupo procariota de los\u00a0planctomicetos, unas bacterias muy inusuales que algunos cient\u00edficos consideran como posibles antecesores de los eucariotas debido a su particular biolog\u00eda celular.<\/p>\n<p class=\"prose-text\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"Links article\">\u201cLa idea de una \u2018fusi\u00f3n\u2019 de dos procariotas diferentes en un eucariota me parece incomprensible desde el punto de vista de la biolog\u00eda celular\u201d, explica en un comunicado el microbi\u00f3logo, que lleva a cabo investigaciones en el cl\u00faster de excelencia Balance of the Microverse de la Universidad de Jena. \u201cNadie hab\u00eda observado nada parecido antes y un h\u00edbrido de este tipo probablemente no ser\u00eda viable debido a las diferentes estructuras de membrana y mecanismos moleculares\u201d, a\u00f1ade Jogler.<\/p>\n<div class=\"inline-element\">\n<div>\n<div id=\"active-campaing-form-marcador\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"prose-text\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"Links article\">En 2014, el equipo del profesor Jogler encontr\u00f3 nuevos planctomicetos en Heiligendamm, en el mar B\u00e1ltico, lo que proporcion\u00f3 argumentos a favor del origen planctomicetal de los eucariotas. \u201cEstas bacterias cambian de forma, \u2018caminan\u2019 sobre superficies y fluyen unas alrededor de otras\u201d.<\/p>\n<div class=\"inline-element\">\n<div>\n<div id=\"active-campaing-form\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"prose-text\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"Links article\">En 2019, un equipo dirigido por Takashi Shiratori, de Jap\u00f3n, tambi\u00e9n descubri\u00f3 y describi\u00f3 planctomicetos similares. Estos microorganismos incluso se alimentaban de otras bacterias y, por lo tanto, parec\u00edan refutar la doctrina de que los procariotas no pod\u00edan ser capaces de realizar endocitosis por razones energ\u00e9ticas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"prose-text\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"Links article\">\u201cPara ser sincero, al principio no cre\u00ed al Dr. Shiratori\u201d, dice Jogler.
