La subida del nivel del mar, uno de los efectos del calentamiento global y posible fuente de desastres ecol\u00f3gicos y humanitarios, es \u00abinevitable para los pr\u00f3ximos siglos o milenios\u00bb, advierte el nuevo informe del Grupo Intergubernamental de Expertos sobre el Cambio Clim\u00e1tico de la ONU (IPCC).<\/div>\n

En todo caso, una reducci\u00f3n \u00abprofunda, r\u00e1pida y sostenida\u00bb de las emisiones de di\u00f3xido de carbono y otros gases de efecto invernadero podr\u00eda desacelerar esta subida del nivel del mar, subraya el informe, elaborado por 93 autores y debatido la semana pasada en el encuentro del IPCC en Interlaken (Alpes suizos).<\/div>\n

El nivel medio global de los mares aument\u00f3 20 cent\u00edmetros entre 1901 y 2018, pero la subida se est\u00e1 acelerando por el cambio clim\u00e1tico: era de 1,3 mil\u00edmetros anuales hasta los a\u00f1os 70, entre 1971 y 2006 se elev\u00f3 a 1,9 mil\u00edmetros por a\u00f1o, y desde 2006 a 2018 ya se eleva a 3,7 mil\u00edmetros anuales.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
